“On a visit to Madrid we came across Casa Alberto, one of the oldest Tapas Bars in the city, taking a photograph and within minutes thinking if Susie would do a painting, thinking it might give her a challenge. How wrong I was, she jumped at the chance, producing a masterpiece. The work is now hanging on our wall with a number of other works by her, all loved and appreciated by us and anyone who comes to visit.”

“I had long admired Susie’s beautifully detailed work of Farnham’s lovely old buildings, passageways, and cottages on her Facebook page. I always looked forward to seeing her new commissions taking shape, at first with pencil, and just love the way the brickwork is painted in. One of these started to look very familiar to me. I then realised it was the very house I was born in “Tannery House” in Bridge Square, Farnham.
Of course I really wanted it for myself and contacted Susie and asked if I could buy the original. Apparently a lady had already asked for it, so it seemed I would have to settle for a print. A little while later I was overjoyed when Susie contacted me to say there had been a change of circumstances and the painting was mine if I wanted it. Of course I said yes. It is a stunning painting at which I never tire of looking.
Susie is a lovely person and so helpful in the buying process. I collected my painting from Susie’s studio which was great to look around. Thank you once again Susie for bringing back these lovely memories for me.“

“Having called in to view an exhibition of Susie Lidstone’s paintings being held in the New Ashgate Gallery, we purchased the most wonderful watercolour of Farnham Castle in the snow. Our son was marrying in December in the castle thus it proved to be an ideal family wedding gift. Susie was painting as we selected our piece so we could see her at work and as well as being a versatile and extremely talented artist she is a delightful lady.
Many of Susie’s watercolours illustrate aspects of Farnham town, including its fascinating alleys, and she paints stunning arrangements of flowers. We also were able to buy cards of the Castle painting to send pre-Christmas.
Do go and see her paintings if you get the opportunity and you will be rewarded.”

“I first saw Susie’s art as it was shared on a Facebook group I was a member of and I immediately fell in love. Her command of colour and composition are perfectly suited to my style and I immediately contacted her asking if I could purchase a print of her ‘Hydrangeas’.
Susie has been a joy to correspond with and I was thrilled to receive my print a short while later. Susie was kind enough to meet me half way to hand over the print. The Hydrangeas are now hanging proudly in my bedroom, I am so fond of them, and of Susie as a person, that we have talked about at least one future commission. Hopefully more!
